Lipped Media Takes it Easy
Lipped Media has taken a few steps back in order to continue forward. Ella worked tirelessly trying to teach staff bloggers every newly learned thing it took to write a search-engine-friendly post, editing to keep everything professional, and finding and training new bloggers, because these part-timer/freelancers had to move on to full-time career jobs or take personal issue leaves.
When family issues arose, she could no longer train new bloggers, but they kept leaving. (Then school started again, and it was hard, and things only got worse with a family wedding.) Ella had to make the decision to close all un- or little-manned (no womanned) blogs. It was definitely tough.
Then Ella herself had to work only part-time, but keeps up two of her blogs regularly now.
I’m sorry if a favorite blog of yours had to cease posting, but someday when this is a full-time, well-paid career for Ella, she will start with staff again. She needs a web coder, a virtual assistant, and then only with a manager of staff can she have a full collection of writers again.
But this will take time. Things are going well here, but everyone moves at his or her own pace. Some network might be huge, and that network might be a large company—but that doesn’t not mean Ella will stop this or let herself fail. We’re just working differently, even from where we were before. That’s OK.
And it will be a long road, like I said. Ella is finishing her degree in English, and hopes to move on to Fashion School. She will probably study design and fashion journalism, she is also learning to craft knit handbags. If she finds success with a line, who knows what will happen to us, but Ella wants to keep it going, keep herself writing. And success means more funds.
In the meantime, visit Kiss Me, Stace, Pursed Lips, for regular posts—and Designer-Ella.com, too, for occasional posts. Also, Ella’s cousin is continuing with new Lipped blog, Paws in Shoes. (But she lost a dog, so she’s just trying to gain hold of it all.)
Plus, at Kiss Me, Stace there will be occasional guest posts, some from familiar faces.
Thanks for reading and continuing to read. Good luck wishes to us?
