In case you haven’t noticed…
The news around here is that after way slowing down for a while, we’re almost fully back and working harder at being 100% and eventually 200%+.
Over the summer we had server outages due to “referrer spam” attacks like crazy and had to first figure out that was the problem, then work on preventing it from getting too bad in the future (we can’t completely control forces outside ourselves slash outside “good” humanity). We had to rest the domains on our own private server because we basically get more hits than shared hosting can take, and sometimes we still go down. We’re on it. (The other day we had a major outage due to a wrong click in our control panel - you can see we’re not fully pros at webmastering!)
We also had our chiefista, Ella, hardly working while she prepared for, executed, and “recovered from” (doing post work) a move from MA down to FL! Big move. Ella’s back working full time on everything, and is working harder and harder as time moves on. (However, bad Ella still needs to focus a lot of time on unpacking, go go! Bad girl.)
There were also upsets at Style Spotlight because of a major outage due to an installed script failure. It even now affects how many entries are posted, but please have patience with it.
Onward, my friends!

Well, WordPress, our blogging script, updated to a different/new version and LippedMedia.com’s template was not compatible. Right now we’re using a very standard stock theme, and we’ll be working on customizing that for a bit (for now). We might completely switch thing’s up a bit later on.
All our sidebar stuff is currently missing, but hang on…

We have a new forum, Lipped Fashion Forums.
Our authenticity forum moved to the new forum, too. Visit here.
Pursed Lips changed its name and moved to Bag Dream. (There were technical problems.)
Sarah Jean Snarker started a site somewhat dirtier than our others here, for celebrity gossip; Kiss My Starse.

As a voice and presence—and a united force—in the online fashion community, although we’re small, we really should give back to the niche as a whole. But it is difficult to forge ideas and even moreso to impliment when coding’s involved. But I’ve figured out a way to turn a blog—from the WordPress script—into a social site.

Haute Topics is a social blog focused on fashion & style. You can register and submit your own posts, as well as vote on current posts and see which ones are popular.
It’s very “blog” heavy (with a blog look and feel), but as time goes by we’ll try to make improvements to posting and possibly other things. But it should work as long as we have followers.
Check it out and consider giving it a go and a link!

Lipped Media, along with sponsorship from our Pursed Lips, has a new blog - another bag blog but this time for discounts & deals - Bargain Bagistas.
The concept behind this blog is a bit different - different from the bag blogs because it’s not all high fashion, high prices - but mostly its different from most budget tips, because the scoops are usually still on designer merchandise. If you want a designer bag on a budget, you better well hunt for deals, or well, we’ll scoop ‘em for you.
The site is growing, but we have categories for different products other than bags, coupon codes, freebies, tips & tactics on shopping in a budget, 50% + sales, premium discounts (several hundred off or just sales on big big names) and many more. In the near future, we’ll be adding a “sale stalk” feature, in which we’ll keep an eye on hot bags for future sales. You can let us know what you want to see.
Visit, bookmark or subscribe and come back to save money on things you know you might have just bought full price!
